Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing therapy plans for patients with a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify their level of function and develop treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to modify treatment plans and ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assist with quality metrics and analytics, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Three years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, or two years with a Doctorate degree, or completion of a HM or comparable Occupational Therapy Fellowship/Residency program.
  • Compact state licensure or temporary occupational therapist registration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
