Job Summary:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming parts and materials to meet company standards. This role involves conducting inspections using various equipment and tools, including MicroVu vision systems, calipers, and micrometers. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of incoming parts and materials to ensure conformity to company standards
• Use MicroVu vision systems, calipers, and micrometers to measure and record dimensional data
• Examine parts for surface defects and measure dimensions to ensure compliance with part prints
• Communicate inspection results to the Tooling, Molding, and Quality teams
• Generate quality advisement documentation and provide reports to QA Engineers or Supervisor
• Work with warehouse personnel to place components into stock after QA approval
• Complete calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
• Reject defective parts and mark type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag

Requirements:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Associate's degree in engineering or science preferred
• Ability to read and understand detailed part and assembly prints
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
• Good communication skills and follow through on assigned tasks
• MicroVu or other measurement equipment experience preferred
