Job Summary

The Float Pool Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the various nursing departments. This role requires a strong ability to respond to Code Blue situations, initiate protocol, special procedures, and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate a treatment plan and achieve the goals of the various nursing departments
  • Respond to Code Blue situations and initiate protocol, special procedures, and cardiac monitoring
  • Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
  • At least two (2) years of full-time equivalent Acute Care RN experience
