The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Services
    • Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures.
    • Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures.
    • Adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Patient Care
    • Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patients' comfort and dignity throughout the imaging process.
    • Verify patient identity and medical history before each procedure.
    • Administer contrast media and other medications as required.
    • Monitor patients' condition during procedures and respond to any emergencies.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT scanners and other equipment.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
    • Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Education and Training
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies, techniques, and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Comply with all regulatory requirements and Wellstar Health System, Inc. policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in radiology, preferably in CT imaging.
  • Certifications
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
