We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. as a Registered CT Technologist, Full-Time Night Shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Services
- Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures.
- Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures.
- Adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Patient Care
- Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patients' comfort and dignity throughout the imaging process.
- Verify patient identity and medical history before each procedure.
- Administer contrast media and other medications as required.
- Monitor patients' condition during procedures and respond to any emergencies.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT scanners and other equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Education and Training
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements and Wellstar Health System, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in radiology, preferably in CT imaging.
- Certifications
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
