About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geomatics Technician to join our team at SAM, LLC. As a Geomatics Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor.
  • Monitor field crew's production and quality assurance.
  • Prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions and alignment drawings.
  • Perform quality control checks of plats, drawings and deliverables prepared by other technicians.
  • Coordinate with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met.
Requirements
  • Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D required; MicroStation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.
  • Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus, however it is not necessary.
  • S.I.T. Certification is a plus, however, it is not necessary.
