The Digital Products and Services team plays a crucial role in the secure management of information systems throughout their entire lifecycle. Team members are expected to be aware of the information systems under their jurisdiction, comprehend the sensitive data that is stored, transmitted, or processed, and enforce the security principles of minimal privilege and functionality.
The Information Security Analyst I will serve a vital function in monitoring and analyzing security events. This role involves utilizing data gathered from various sources to identify, assess, and report on cybersecurity incidents that may occur within the enterprise network. The primary goal is to safeguard information, information systems, and networks from potential threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to detect and identify cybersecurity events.
- Investigate security alerts and analyze detected events to understand potential attack vectors.
- Assess the impact of security incidents and conduct ongoing monitoring of network and personnel activities.
- Monitor for unauthorized access, connections, devices, and software.
- Identify and report malicious code activities.
- Communicate detected cybersecurity events to relevant stakeholders and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Categorize security incidents and evaluate detection processes for continuous improvement.
