Job SummaryAs a Pediatric Transport Nurse, you will facilitate the safe and expeditious transport of critically ill and hospitalized children. You will work as a member of the Transport Team, serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to team members.
Responsibilities- Facilitate specialized transport of critically ill and hospitalized children
- Maintain advanced pediatric assessment skills in the delivery of care
- Ensure efficient use of the team and assist with transport triage
- Collaborate with the Medical Control Officer and/or Medical Director
- 3 years of experience in a PICU or other relevant ICU setting
- 3 years of previous transport experience preferred
- BSN or MSN degree
- Certifications required upon start: BLS, PALS, TNCC or ATLS
- CCRN eligible or plan to obtain CCRN within 6 months-1 year of hire
- RN license, eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
