Job Overview

As a Civil Project Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the efforts of various professionals, delivering innovative and practical designs for a diverse range of infrastructure projects. These projects may include water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater management, stormwater solutions, and small roadway and site development initiatives. You will report to a designated Associate Project Manager or Principal and will work autonomously while supervising the contributions of your team. Building strong relationships with clients is essential, as you will provide guidance and oversight throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. You will also play a vital role in mentoring and advising junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects with moderate complexity.
  • Utilize your extensive civil engineering experience to ensure project success.
  • Apply foundational engineering principles to develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in construction processes, plans, and specifications.
  • Employ software tools such as AutoCAD, Water CAD, Sewer CAD, or Civil 3D, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Create detailed site and grading plans, including erosion and sediment control plans.
  • Design stormwater management systems, as well as water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Prepare comprehensive assessments, analyses, and reports.
  • Develop proposals for professional services.
  • Oversee project management and client relations.
  • Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
  • Contribute to public presentations and technical discussions.
Essential Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to foster a creative and collaborative engineering environment.
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff.
