Job Summary

A skilled registered nurse employed by Medicine Journal is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Labor and Delivery department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect care to obstetrical patients, including electronic fetal monitoring and postoperative care.
  • Be knowledgeable in newborn care and neonatal resuscitation.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of recent Labor and Delivery experience, with knowledge of general, obstetrical, gynecological, and neonatal nursing principles and practices.
  • Current licensure privileges to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
  • De-escalation training and certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Certification in inpatient obstetrics or Women's health field.
