Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Site Supervisor and immediate supervision of the school Athletic Director, the Athletic Trainer will provide assistance to student athletes in the prevention, evaluation, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

The Athletic Trainer will also assist in the development and implementation of programs for the prevention of injuries to student athletes, administer first aid and emergency medical care, administer rehabilitation for injuries, and perform other related work as required.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Valid certifications provided by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or District-approved provider for Adult/Child CPR and AED.
  • Online certifications will be accepted from these vendors as long as a hands-on skills assessment is completed.
  • Recertification to maintain current/valid status is a condition of employment.
  • National Athletic Trainers Association Certification required.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
Additional Requirements
  • Fingerprint clearance upon hire with DPOLJUSD.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid.
  • DMV Printout.
  • Driver's License Copy.
  • Letter of Introduction.
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 recent letters, dated within the past 2 years).
  • Other (Letter of Intent).
  • Proof of HS Graduation.
  • Resume.
  • TB Screening Result.
