Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in Telemetry to join our esteemed team at FHN Memorial Hospital. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
  • Phlebotomy skills are advantageous.
Job Details
  • Specialty: Tele RN - Department: Telemetry | RN
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cath Lab post-recovery (femoral/radial) and stroke care is highly preferred. Drip experience is essential.
  • Common Diagnoses: Stroke, CHF, ACS, CAD, among others.
  • Duties: Responsible for the care of post-heart catheterization patients experiencing arrhythmias.
Job Requirements
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
  • Phlebotomy skills are a plus.
Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts.
  • Scheduled based on departmental needs.
  • Every other weekend commitment is required.
  • Participation in holiday rotation is expected.
Unit Specific Information
  • Bed Capacity: 18 beds.
  • Nurse to Patient Ratios: 4-5 during the day, 5-6 at night.
  • Charge Nurse responsibilities are included, with Nurse Aide support available.
Additional Details
  • RN's are not required to titrate drips.
  • Monitor technicians are responsible for central telemetry, with RN's signing off on strips.
  • Charge Nurse will have a patient assignment; NSO will not.
  • Nurse Aides are available, with the ratio depending on patient acuity, typically 2 CNAs for acuity-based care.
  • Equipment: BiPAP and High Flow systems.
  • Scrub Color: Any color is acceptable.
  • Department Orientation: 2 shifts of 12 hours each.
