RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Radiology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Radiology Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinic setting, performing the following duties:
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation
- Screen patients prior to procedures for any precautions or contraindications
- Educate patients and families about pre, intra, and post-procedure care
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved standards and regulations
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient treatment and examination
- Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs
- Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians as needed
- Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, to detect deviations from normal and assess patient condition
- Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
- Document patient history and physical assessment for assigned patients
- Develop patient education plans according to individualized patient needs, as prescribed by physicians and/or clinic policy
- Department Support
- Participate in department or unit quality improvement activities
- Assist in establishing, evaluating, and updating patient care standards
- Maintain patient monitoring equipment and nursing equipment
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse with current, appropriate state license
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- BLS and ACLS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual
- Experience in outpatient radiology
