- Collaborate with clinical teams to assess the status of pending discharges, transfers, and bed availability, making informed bed assignments.
- Evaluate all admissions and transfers for clinical appropriateness and medical necessity.
- Implement necessary actions when criteria are not met or resources are unavailable.
- Provide guidance and support to admissions coordinators to facilitate effective patient access.
- Analyze bed management metrics, identify challenges, propose solutions, and prepare reports for executive leadership.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Must possess a Registered Nurse credential from the Maryland Board of Nursing prior to the start date.
Education:
- Professional licensure/certification is required along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
