Patient Care Technician (Dialysis)

Job Summary:

As a Patient Care Technician (Dialysis) at ICONMA, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
  • Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy
  • Obtain vital signs and perform vascular access evaluation
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders
  • Document patient information and treatment data
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities
  • Support infection control practices and participate in infection control education
  • Assist in the coordination of transitional care for patients

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • 1 year of Dialysis Patient Care Technician experience in the last 2 years
  • Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements
