We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and achieving positive outcomes in our Med Surg and ICU departments.
Responsibilities- Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their needs are met and their care is coordinated.
- Respond to critical illness and vent management situations in the ICU, initiating protocol and special procedures as needed.
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, and arranging or testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- At least two (2) year full-time equivalent Acute Care RN experience in designated area.
