Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in a pre-op/PACU, ICU or ED environment
  • Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, and maintain accurate medical records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and interprofessional care team members to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Implement staff education and training programs to enhance patient care and department processes
  • Develop and update patient care plans in partnership with the patient, family, and interprofessional care team
  • Prioritize care based on patient needs, abilities, and preferences
  • Contribute to quality and safety initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practice changes
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Two years of nursing experience in a pre-op/PACU, ICU or ED environment
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
  • Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
