Job Summary

Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division, a leading producer of high-quality hot mix and warm mix asphalt, seeks a skilled Asphalt Roller Operator to join their team in Tampa, FL. As a key member of the paving crew, you will be responsible for operating the asphalt roller machine to ensure smooth and efficient paving operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the asphalt roller machine to compact and smooth asphalt surfaces
  • Follow established patterns and procedures to ensure high-quality paving results
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing on the equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the paving crew to achieve project goals and deadlines
  • Meet safety and quality standards in all aspects of the job
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of experience in asphalt and road construction preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of asphalt paving principles and procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
