Lifeguard Senior

The Senior Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. This includes creating a safe environment for members, conducting swimming classes, and managing rosters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lifeguarding skills and be able to perform all American Red Cross Lifeguarding skills and CPR skills. Additionally, the candidate should be able to swim 500 yards in 10 minutes and perform active victim, passive victim, and spinal injury rescues.

• Maintain a safe and positive atmosphere in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas
• Conduct swimming classes and manage rosters
• Perform all American Red Cross Lifeguarding skills and CPR skills
• Swim 500 yards in 10 minutes
• Perform active victim, passive victim, and spinal injury rescues

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum six months of lifeguarding experience required
• Able to read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality
• Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position
• Able to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment
• Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others

• Lifeguard Training and Active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer required
• Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification required
