Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

At Northwell Health, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications and treatments, and observing and recording patients' vital signs and symptoms. You will work closely with our registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments, and observing and recording patients' vital signs and symptoms.
  • Assist registered nurses with patient care and other tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and medication administration records.
  • Participate in patient teaching and education programs.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, and initiate appropriate actions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completed accredited Practical Nurse program required.
  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York required.
  • Previous related experience preferred.
