Broward Health Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our behavioral health unit, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will assist nursing staff in observing and monitoring behavior and physical state of patients with emotional or behavioral problems, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

You will also be responsible for assisting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, in accordance with nursing care plans. This may include helping patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as encouraging them to participate in recreational and therapeutic activities.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
