Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Practitioner/Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide individual and group therapeutic services to individuals with mental health concerns, substance use issues, cognitive disabilities, and other mental/physical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mental/behavioral healthcare services to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities, correctional/forensic facilities, and community-based settings.
- Evaluate patients' physical or mental condition and develop treatment plans to address their unique needs.
- Administer assessment tools and develop programming to assist in the treatment of behavioral disorders and disabilities.
- Provide individual and group therapeutic services, including targeting counseling to help patients overcome mental health concerns or substance abuse issues.
- Remain knowledgeable of the latest methodologies in counseling to provide patients with the best possible care.
- Refer patients to other mental healthcare or medical providers as necessary.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including documentation of progress notes, assessments, and treatment activities.
- Provide a range of brief prevention, treatment, and recovery services, as well as long-term treatment and support.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to patients' treatment.
- Licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner or Licensed Professional Counselor in the state practicing required.
- Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Participation and completion of Amergis Competency program when applicable.
- Current CPR if applicable.
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
