Job Summary

Owens Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Photography courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction to students, as well as maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and deliver course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with the College's curriculum standards.
    • Teach Photography courses to students, utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
    • Evaluate student learning and provide feedback to students in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Course Management
    • Manage course schedules, assignments, and evaluations, ensuring that all requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to.
    • Maintain accurate and thorough records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators, utilizing Owens Community College's course management system and other approved technologies.
    • Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings, workshops, and training sessions, as needed.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's degree in Photography or a related field.
  • Experience
    • One term of teaching experience, including developing lesson plans and assessments.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent instructional and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
