Job Title: Monitor Tech

Job Summary:
T & T Staffing is seeking a skilled Monitor Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and technical skills, with a strong working knowledge of medical equipment and software.

Responsibilities:
• Observe and interpret patients' heart monitors, checking for abnormalities such as irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest.
• Attach electrodes to patients' bodies and record electrical impulses from the heart to perform EKGs.
• Use hospital equipment and medical technology to perform various tests on patients' hearts, such as stress tests.
• Recognize and respond to any abnormal conditions in patients' heartbeats.
• Interpret test results and report any changes in heart readings or EKGs to the Doctor or Nurse in charge of the affected patient.
• Assist patients when they arrive at the department for care, unit secretaries help guide them.
• Field phone calls to the unit, ensuring effective communication.
• Coordinate appointments with healthcare providers within the unit.
• Organize, file, and manage patient records.
• Update patients' records with all readings taken from the heart monitors or EKGs.
• Clean and maintain heart monitors and EKG machines.
• Report any necessary equipment repairs in a timely manner.
• Assist with the training of new staff in medical monitoring systems.
• Deliver quality patient care services.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• EKG or monitor technician diploma or certification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Acute Care medical monitoring or a related field.
• CPR/BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
