Job SummaryThe Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and motor graders to perform various tasks related to grading and excavation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with project foreman and superintendent to plan and coordinate project work
- Communicate effectively with team members and external customers to ensure smooth project execution
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures
- Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Physical ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
