We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Avondale, AZ. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the community, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public.
- Investigate crimes and gather evidence to solve cases.
- Write reports and testify in court as needed.
- Train and supervise other officers as required.
- Must be AZ POST certified in good standing or have the ability to complete the Arizona State Post Standard Certification test and proficiency tests by the time of hire.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain an Arizona Driver's License.
- No felony convictions.
- One year of active patrol experience.
- Successful completion of a certified police academy.
