Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Avondale, AZ. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the community, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public.
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence to solve cases.
  • Write reports and testify in court as needed.
  • Train and supervise other officers as required.
Requirements
  • Must be AZ POST certified in good standing or have the ability to complete the Arizona State Post Standard Certification test and proficiency tests by the time of hire.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain an Arizona Driver's License.
  • No felony convictions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of active patrol experience.
  • Successful completion of a certified police academy.
