Panel Building Specialist

About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Panel Building Specialist to join our team at Chromalox. As an integral part of our production process, you will be responsible for assembling and testing complex control panels and systems according to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components, units, and subassemblies.
- Wiring complex control panels/systems based upon drawings, instructions, and guidelines.
- Position, align, and adjust components and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
- Manage time, prioritize work, and perform in a fast-paced environment while achieving cost-effective results within a given timeframe.
- Manufacture control panels to project specification under the direction of a Supervisor.
- Read and comprehend electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and mechanical drawings.
- Document and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings, reflecting as-built products.
- Familiarity with 3rd-party standards, NEC code, and other applicable standards and codes.
- Maintain quality control procedures and communicate with Supervisors/Leads/Engineering regarding work status and any quality or design issues.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines/tools as scheduled and required for TPM.
- Work individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of one year's related experience.
- Associate technical degree preferred.
- Ability to mount components to panels or equipment.
- Ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools for assembly.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches, layouts, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Estimated Salary: $62,000 - $72,000 per year
