Certified Substance Use Counselor

Profound Treatment is seeking a qualified counselor, certified by CCAPP or CAADE, to join our dedicated team within our substance use disorder treatment facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the coordination of client requirements and collaborate with clients and primary therapists in developing treatment and discharge plans, while identifying necessary support services such as educational, vocational, legal, recreational, mental health, and social services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided to clients.
- Ensure consistency of services recorded in client files and assist in meeting compliance standards set by DHCS and the Joint Commission.
- Schedule regular case management sessions with clients.
- Coordinate service delivery with probation officers, attorneys, and other relevant parties as necessary.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal confidentiality laws and regulations.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Work collaboratively with treatment team members to ensure comprehensive delivery of clinical and social services.
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
- Engage in staff meetings as appropriate.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in documenting all services provided to clients accurately.
- Ability to establish strong rapport with clients.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to coordinate a comprehensive continuum of treatment and services for clients.
Education and Certification Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification with CAADE, CCAPP, or CADTP is mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
