Clinical Leader for Pediatric Intensive Care

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Leader to join our team at Ascension Seton's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Austin, Texas.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and leadership skills, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. As a Clinical Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating unit staffing, providing leadership, and ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support associates during assigned shifts.
- Meet with staff and exercise independent judgment to plan the shifts, services, and patient care.
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
- Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
- Facilitate availability of adequate material, resources, and supplies.
- Set priorities appropriate to daily patient/physician dynamics.
- Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff.
Requirements
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date required.
- Education:
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
- 1 year minimum level III or IV NICU RN experience.
- BSN.
- Knowledge of deliveries, joint commission, magnet status requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
As a Clinical Leader at Ascension Seton, you can expect a competitive salary of around $95,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
