Family Central, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Readiness Parent Educator to join our HIPPY Program team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one curriculum instruction to parents, promoting early childhood development and family support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver weekly HIPPY activity packets and provide instruction to parents or caregivers, focusing on cognitive skills, early literacy, social/emotional, and physical development.
- Recruit families with children aged 2-5 years old and develop relationships with community resources to support family needs.
- Act as a role model and advocate for families and children, promoting a culture of support and empowerment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve program goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or related field.
- At least one year of experience working with children and families, preferably in a home-based or community setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English or Creole/English is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and case management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of $18.00.
- Generous benefits package, including health insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, 403(b) plan, holiday pay, and paid vacation time.
- Sign-on incentive of 40 hours of vacation time after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
