We are seeking a seasoned Merchandise Manager - Brand to join our team at Colony Brands, Inc. This individual will play a crucial role in driving the strategy, product mix, and financial integrity of our catalogs.
About the Role:This is a unique opportunity to leverage your merchandising and financial acumen to drive business results. As a Merchandise Manager - Brand, you will be responsible for leading the execution of the brand prefix and channel vision, ensuring that each catalog's strategy aligns with our financial goals and customer experience objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the overall strategy for each catalog, including product mix and promotional focuses, to ensure financial integrity and alignment with brand goals.
- Provide leadership that inspires and motivates the cross-category merchandising team toward a cohesive vision for key product focuses and messaging across channels and prefixes.
- Build strong working relationships, driving collaboration, empowering, and supporting cross-functional partners to enhance catalog performance.
- Create catalog product focuses and flow strategies, accounting for the total brand experience that includes printed catalogs, digital communications, and merchandise.
- Visual merchandising of catalogs that balances the art of telling compelling product stories with the science of investing ad spend by product.
- Conduct Financial Planning and Analysis to understand and communicate the scope of the business, adapting creative tools to solve general business problems and ensure financial integrity.
- Partner with Creative teams to ensure that creative message/execution aligns with brand objectives and enhances the customer experience.
- Manage calendars and processes to successfully deliver on seasonal planning milestones.
- Take ownership of your development and seek ways to continuously improve performance and knowledge.
- 5+ years of industry experience in direct marketing (e-commerce, retail, or catalog).
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, retail consumer science, or a related discipline.
- Strong merchandising and financial acumen, with demonstrated understanding and application of key financial metrics.
- Strategic thinker who can translate broad strategies into specific objectives and action plans that effectively drive catalog performance.
- Expertise in customer, competitor, industry, and market data intelligence and understanding of analysis techniques.
- Established ability to influence and partner across functional and organizational lines to achieve results.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
