Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician at Mid Michigan Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and a passion for working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform and assist with individual activities of daily living and certain treatments for patient care.
- You will prioritize and organize care for assigned patients, performing basic nurse's aide skills as outlined in orientation, competencies, policy, and procedures.
- Documentation is a critical aspect of this role, and you will be responsible for documenting patient information, treatments, and pertinent observations on patient charts.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly unit is essential, and you will be expected to contribute to this effort.
- A high school diploma or GED is required, and a current State of Michigan registry document as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification culminating in licensure in the state of Michigan is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required within 3 months of hire or transfer.
