Life Enrichment Assistant

Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting with dementia care, activities of daily living (ADLs), and various aspects of caregiving within a retirement community.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing personalized care and support to residents, focusing on dementia care and memory care techniques.

  • Aid in activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility assistance.
  • Collaborate with the caregiving team to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Participate in aging issues counseling and recreational therapy activities.
  • Support event planning and coordination for residents' engagement and social interactions.


Experience:
- Prior experience in dementia care, memory care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with aging issues counseling and recreational therapy practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to individuals in need.
  • Knowledge of caregiving principles and best practices within nursing home or assisted living environments.

Expected hours: 22.5 per week with rotating weekends and holidays

Schedule:
Monday to Friday

Rotating weekends

Weekends as needed

Experience:
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:
Hackettstown, NJ Required
