We are seeking a highly skilled Airfield Operations Manager to join our team at IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of airfields and aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and coordinate airfield and aircraft activities to provide a safe and efficient airfield environment.
- Perform airfield checks for safety and compliance with planning and design criteria.
- Plan, organize, and direct airfield activities, including airfield construction/repairs, airfield driving program, ice/snow removal operations, and bird/wildlife control.
- Procure, maintain, and produce information on safe operation of aircraft through the national and international airspace system.
- Process domestic and international flight plans.
- Initiate overdue aircraft procedures and provide flight following services.
- Coordinate with base agencies to meet aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation, and transient aircraft maintenance.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved DoD Airfield Managers course.
- Three (3) years of experience in airfield operations, including coordination between air-traffic control and maintenance personnel, dispatching, implementing airfield safety procedures, monitoring and maintaining flight records, and applying knowledge of weather information.
- Experience managing wildlife on and around airfield grounds and implementing bird aircraft strike hazard procedures.
- Experience coordinating airfield maintenance, construction projects, hazardous cargo, and live fire devices.
- Experience conducting airfield checks in accordance with AFMAN13-204v2.
- Active DoD SECRET clearance.
- Knowledge of assigned equipment, standard maintenance practices, maintenance documentation, and processes.
