Primary Counselor

Job Summary

The Primary Counselor will assist in the implementation and evaluation of Behavioral and Counseling treatment plans, ensuring they meet the needs of residents' care plans in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. This role will work closely with the Program Director to develop and revise specific STP group content, lesson plans, and resource materials. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a mental health field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing counseling groups and supervised outings, attending shift reports, and completing daily and weekly documentation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a library of lesson plans and resource materials, providing behavioral counseling, and assisting in crisis situations.
