Job SummaryThe Director of Nursing will be responsible for administering the nursing program in our long term care facility, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care that meets the highest standards. This includes facilitating the optimization of the geriatric care process, advising medical staff and department heads, and interpreting policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups.
Responsibilities- Administer the nursing program in our long term care facility
- Facilitate the optimization of the geriatric care process
- Advise medical staff and department heads
- Interpret policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups
- Monitor the operations of the nursing staff and ensure compliance with regulations
- Schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews
- Provide nursing care to residents as needed
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing activities and programs
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in nursing, a minimum of five years of nursing experience, and a thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care. You will also need to be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state where you will be practicing.
