About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a positive impact in the lives of clients struggling with substance abuse.
Job Description:The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to ensure clients receive optimum, quality, cost-effective care. Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting a professional atmosphere by interacting with clients, families, and colleagues in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Facilitating the performance of agency functions by adhering to policies and standards of conduct.
- Assisting clients in following their prescribed plan of care.
- Administering medication according to policy and procedures.
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A current NYS LPN License.
- A current NYS Infection Control Certificate.
- Minimum one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations served.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Proficiency with computers.
