Position Overview:

The Junior Project Engineer plays a crucial role in providing both technical and administrative support to project teams, ensuring adherence to established engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design guidelines. This position involves troubleshooting engineering-related installation challenges under close supervision and addressing issues of limited scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing and processing project submittals.
  • Managing Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Maintaining daily work logs and tickets.
  • Documenting and posting RFIs and change orders.
  • Tracking and overseeing change orders.
  • Updating and maintaining as-built documentation as tasks are completed.
  • Recording project issues and conditions accurately.
  • Organizing and preserving detailed project records.
  • Submitting work hours and associated cost codes.
  • Coordinating the acquisition of necessary permits and access requests.
  • Assisting in the preparation of change orders.
  • Managing the project library effectively.
  • Participating in Key Project Reviews (KPR).

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited program, with 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to pass drug tests and background checks.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Extended periods of sitting.
  • Manual dexterity for operating various tools and equipment.
  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written information.
  • Problem-solving skills to apply general rules to specific scenarios.
