This is a temporary assignment to address staffing shortages in a hospital or healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong diagnostic and therapeutic skillset, with the ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat adult medical conditions, both acute and chronic.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create and follow through on individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and assess overall patient health.
- Administer appropriate treatments and medications.
- Present patient education health promotion and disease prevention.
- Provide immediate medical attention for urgent conditions and stabilize patients when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Consult with specialists and make referrals, when necessary.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Board certification in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
