Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CDL driver to join our team at Hooker Creek Companies LLC, a locally owned and operated construction materials provider in Central Oregon. As a Transfer Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting sand and gravel aggregate between our plants, taking direction from dispatch and delivering product in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations and truck and pup to transport construction materials
  • Follow dispatch instructions and deliver product to designated locations
  • Ensure safe and efficient transportation of materials, adhering to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Department of Transportation regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck, adhering to company standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and other contacts
Requirements
  • Two years of CDL driving experience with an acceptable DMV record
  • Knowledge and adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Department of Transportation, and all other highway rules, regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, as business requires
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds
  • Knowledge of DOT reporting requirements and skills to use truck controls properly
