Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Planning Legal Assistant to join our prestigious law firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong proactive planning abilities and a comprehensive background in estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft estate planning documents including wills, powers of attorney, and both basic and advanced trusts
  • Assist with both basic and advanced estate planning for clients
  • Perform trust administration and prepare accountings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills
  • Collaborate within a team environment, sharing knowledge to enhance overall team strength and camaraderie

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in drafting estate planning documents
  • Strong background in trust administration and accounting
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience preparing gift and estate tax returns under attorney guidance
  • Probate experience
  • Familiarity with advanced trust structures and estate planning techniques

Work Environment:
  • Hybrid position -- three days per week in-office attendance required after the initial onboarding period
  • Initial onboarding requires full in-office attendance to ensure proper integration (limited exceptions may apply)

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience and aligned with market data for the region.
