About the Job

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading server hardware to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot custom software baselines based on Scientific Linux and Red Hat Linux.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to set up and maintain development, testing, and production environments.
  • Monitor server performance, implement improvements, and develop maintenance schedules.
  • Provide technical support, document activities, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on Linux/Unix systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of physical server management and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraph.
