Position Overview

As a Senior Wind Energy Technician at NextEra Energy, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of wind energy facilities. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all operational aspects of wind farms are executed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:
  • Conduct thorough maintenance and repair tasks on wind turbine systems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all field operations.
  • Support the development and training of junior technicians to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with site management to facilitate timely reporting and operational improvements.
  • Represent NextEra Energy positively within the community and among stakeholders.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a technical role or completion of a relevant technical program.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to ascend wind turbines up to 300 feet.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that are advantageous include:
  • An Associate's Degree in a related field.

Work Environment
