Cemetery Caretaker Supervisor

This position is located at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. The Cemetery Caretaker Supervisor performs a variety of tasks, including operating small tractors and riding lawn mowers, transplanting shrubs, digging graves to the proper level, and cleaning and clearing cemetery grounds of debris.

• Operate small tractors and riding lawn mowers to maintain cemetery grounds
• Transplant shrubs and trees to maintain a well-manicured appearance
• Dig graves to the proper level and depth
• Clean and clear cemetery grounds of debris, including leaves, branches, and other obstructions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cemetery Manager

May be required to work Monday through Friday, including occasional weekends. Due to the mission of the National Cemetery, the cemetery cannot be closed for more than 2 consecutive days at any given time.

Staff may be required to work on Federal holidays or Saturdays when a Federal holiday falls on a Monday or Friday. All staff is required to work Memorial Day each year.

• Must possess a valid state driver's license
• Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather

The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping, grounds keeping, or other related trades, and will possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The selected candidate will be required to complete an online onboarding process and will be subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
