Role Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will establish therapeutic relationships with patients and deliver essential nursing care in alignment with the hospital's policies and objectives. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the LPN will monitor the health and safety of psychiatric patients and collaborate with healthcare teams to address patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans.
- Provide clinical guidance to direct care staff regarding patient health needs.
- Administer medications and perform treatment procedures following established nursing standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documenting medications, treatments, and patient responses.
- Conduct patient rounds and document observations to ensure a safe therapeutic environment.
- Assist patients with daily living activities and monitor vital signs as required.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a diploma from an accredited LPN program and have at least one year of practical nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric care. A valid nursing license in Georgia and current BLS certification are required.
Preferred Skills
Experience in long-term care or inpatient psychiatric settings is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, proficiency in healthcare documentation, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
