Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pathology Assistant to join our team at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. As a Pathology Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the gross description of surgical specimens, including selection and submission for histological, microbiological, and other specialized testing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care
  • Meet the requirements for certification and licensure, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Certification
  • Pass/fail testing for EKG and medication administration
  • Medication test and pharmacology competency exam
Requirements
  • 2 years of prior Pathology Assistant experience required
  • ASCP-PA certification required
  • First-time travelers accepted
Schedule and Benefits

This is a 5x8 day position, Monday through Friday, with hours varying depending on lab needs. Additional benefits include I9 or attestation, copy of valid government-issued photo ID, Everify or attestation, and physical exam within 12 months of start. Fit test completed onsite during orientation, updated annually.
