About the Job

Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their team for a travel assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
  • Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report any abnormal activity.
  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients.
  • Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Monitor patients during all procedures.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy, including the location, appearance, and function of various major and minor systems susceptible to radiologic exposure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
  • BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required.
  • Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.
