Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse - Circulator, you will be responsible for preparing the OR room, ensuring equipment and medications are available, and working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the OR room and ensure equipment and medications are available
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
- Assess patient upon admission and through procedure
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs during procedure
- Document information and provide a call report to the ICU floor nurse after the surgical procedure
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Diploma RN, associate degree RN, bachelor's degree RN, or master's degree RN
- BLS within 90 days of hire and ACLS within 1 year of hire
