Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing outreach athletic training and duties as assigned to support the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Sports Medicine program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to college, high school, recreational, or club sports teams and events.
  • Conduct preventative practice and athletic training room coverage, as well as educational involvement and other duties related to coverage.
  • Work under the direct supervision of the treating physical therapist to provide components of physical therapy treatment plans.
  • Assist with administrative procedures, supervise supportive clinical personnel, and participate in teaching capacities.
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved education program in athletic training and/or related health science field.
  • State of Ohio Athletic Trainer license and BOC certification (Board of Certification).
  • Two to three years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine facility, with previous experience working with athletic populations.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
