Nurse Practitioner Position

The Nurse Practitioner is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and services. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work independently, following established procedures and protocols, and referring complex cases to physicians as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications, and start IVs as necessary.
- Assist physicians by recording patient progress notes, issuing diagnostic orders, and transcribing orders.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families.
- Bill for patient services according to CMS and NJ State Board Regulations.
- Develop and implement plans of care for patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, adhering to facility and nursing standards.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other medical providers.
- Examine patients to determine the presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, and medical history to ascertain the nature and extent of illness and prescribe treatments as indicated.
- Interview, instruct, and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention, and instruct patients and their families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Issue prescriptions to patients based on Federal and State Regulations.
- Order and review laboratory and diagnostic procedures, and review all lab data and documents.
- Participate in the development of protocols and perform independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits, and coordinate nursing and training programs on compliant policies such as HIPAA, OSHA, and Code of Conduct.
- Responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice, reviewing and auditing charts routinely, and suturing wounds, incising and draining wounds, and repairing lacerations as necessary.
- Work in collaboration with physicians to diagnose conditions as necessary.
- Master's degree in Nursing required.
- Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license, CDS, and DEA.
- CPR certification.
- NP Certification.
- Three to five years of work experience as a professional nurse.
- Willingness to work hour shifts a week, occasional weekends, and in a hospital setting.
