Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Quad City Physical Therapy & Spine. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their recovery and well-being.
About the Position- This is a part-time or PRN opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work with patients and help them achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in an autonomous environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals within the scope of occupational therapy practice.
- Evaluate physician referrals and thoroughly review patients' medical records to determine appropriate occupational therapy interventions based on the patient's condition, functional abilities, and treatment objectives.
- Deliver direct patient care using evidence-based interventions and established occupational therapy protocols, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes and patient safety.
- Document assessment findings, treatment progress, and instructions provided to patients and their caregivers accurately and comprehensively in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop written plans of care and establish measurable goals based on the initial evaluation findings, collaborating closely with patients and their interdisciplinary care team to ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
- Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment programs, incorporating therapeutic activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications to enhance patients' functional independence and quality of life.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and insurance providers, to coordinate care, address concerns, and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Ensure timely completion of documentation, including progress notes, treatment summaries, discharge plans, and incident reports, to support continuity of care and facilitate reimbursement for services rendered.
